Julie lives on a small farm outside Houston with her ever-patient husband, two retired quarter horse mares, their two indoor only cats, a flock of chickens and the creature that lurks in the pond. She works off frustration by pulling weeds in the garden and baking chocolate chip cookies.
Long ago and far away Julie wrote a successful adult mystery series about a trio of lady landscapers. She turned to writing articles for magazines on her interests such as gardening, horses and theater. In 2017 she returned to fiction with BURNED, inspired by her work with children as a Horse Management Judge for the United States Pony Clubs. Julie is enrolled in the MFW program at Vermont College of Fine Arts with a focus on writing for children and young adults.
